Volleyball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Takes a Loss

Ashton-Franklin Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Eastland Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on Thursday.

Eastland can attribute much of their success to Morgan McCullough, who had nine digs and one assist.

Ashton-Franklin Center's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Eastland, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Ashton-Franklin Center will be playing at home against Durand at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eastland, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Riverdale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
