Brazosport Christian came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the O'Connell Buccaneers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Brazosport Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-9, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Jillian Garrett, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Brazosport Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Brazosport Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-5-3. As for O'Connell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Brazosport Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Legacy Christian Academy on the 21st. O'Connell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
