Soccer Recap: West Geauga's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Orange last Thursday, West Geauga came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell just short of the Gilmour Academy Lancers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. West Geauga were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the six contests prior), but Gilmour Academy's defense proved too tough.

West Geauga moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Gilmour Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.

West Geauga didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lutheran West on the 11th. As for Gilmour Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Beaumont School on the 13th.
