Campbell dropped down to 10-20 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-3 to the South Pemiscot Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 19-9 defeat two weeks ago.

Campbell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabbie Townsend, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for South Pemiscot, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. On South Pemiscot's side, Phoenix Simmons was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Simmons was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last five games.

In other batting news, South Pemiscot got a big performance out of Mollie Moore, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Antonika Jones, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
