Soccer Game Preview: Pine Ridge vs. DeLand

The Pine Ridge Panthers will head out to challenge the DeLand Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Pine Ridge's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Wekiva 4-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was University who was credited with the win on Friday. University got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to DeLand's three.

Brianne Yocum and Savanna Bruno scored both of DeLand's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

Pine Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for DeLand, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1.

Pine Ridge came up short against DeLand in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Pine Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
