Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Windber

Windber entered their tilt with Berlin Brothersvalley on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers as they made off with a 58-37 win. The Ramblers pushed the score to 41-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mountaineers cut but never quite recovered from.

Windber's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grady Klosky, who went 9 for 22 on his way to 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Klosky is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Serenko, who went 5 of 9 en route to 17 points and five steals.

Windber was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berlin Brothersvalley only posted four assists.

Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joseph Richardson, who posted four points and six boards. McKelvey Foor was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Windber pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Windber has already played their next contest (against Meyersdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Berlin Brothersvalley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-32 loss against North Star on the 13th.
