Dripping Springs pushed their record up to 17-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Dripping Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over Austin in their previous matchup on March 4th, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dripping Springs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
