Softball Recap: Amelia Academy Patriots vs. Kenston Forest Kavaliers
Amelia Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 21 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They came up short against the Kenston Forest Kavaliers, falling 23-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.
As for Kenston Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Kenston Forest's part, Brooklyn Thomas made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thomas has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
