Basketball Game Preview: St. John's Mavericks vs. Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Chargers

The St. John's Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John's will be strutting in after a victory while Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, St. John's made easy work of CHSA HomeSchool and carried off a 41-20 win.

Meanwhile, Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart was beaten by Kinkaid 89-13 on Friday. The matchup marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for St. John's, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything came up roses for St. John's against Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-15 win. In that game, St. John's amassed a halftime lead of 29-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
