Softball Recap: Immokalee Takes a Loss

Immokalee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Barron Collier Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-14 back in February.

Kaylee Perez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Immokalee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Barron Collier, they moved to 7-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Immokalee has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against North Fort Myers on the 12th. As for Barron Collier, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 defeat against Evangelical Christian on the 12th.
