Covenant Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 63-55 to the Marvin Ridge Mavericks. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marvin Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Rivlin, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Rivlin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Smith, who went 5-for-12 en route to 18 points and six boards.

Covenant Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Marvin Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Covenant Day has already played their next contest, an 81-55 loss against Huss on the 29th. As for Marvin Ridge, they will venture away from home to take on Charlotte Country Day School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
