Volleyball Recap: Melba Falls Short Against Ranked Kuna

Melba faced Kuna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Kavemen. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Melba was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21.

Kuna can attribute much of their success to Joslyn Beers, who had eight digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Melba fell to 2-1. As for Kuna, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Melba didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Borah on the 23rd. As for Kuna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against The Ambrose School on the 23rd.
