Geraldine had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They blew past the Fyffe Red Devils, posting a 71-40 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Geraldine's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Fyffe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Geraldine will square off against Elkmont on Saturday. One thing working in Geraldine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games. As for Fyffe, they will challenge Whitesburg Christian Academy on Saturday. Whitesburg Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Fyffe surely won't give up without a fight.
