After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Platte Valley, Weld Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fort Lupton Bluedevils. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (101-100) Weld Central actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 28-26, 26-24, 28-26.

Despite the loss, Fort Lupton still got an impressive performance from Daniela Gutierrez, who had 16 digs.

Weld Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season. As for Fort Lupton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

As of now, neither Weld Central nor the Bluedevils have any future games scheduled.
