The Sierra Stallions can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-31 win over Sand Creek. That's another feather in the cap for Sierra, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Sierra's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shetara Roebuck led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Roebuck hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Torres, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Sierra's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Sand Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
Sierra will be playing in front of their home fans against Pueblo Centennial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sand Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Mesa Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
