North Gaston won the last time they faced West Lincoln and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 59-47 victory over the Rebels. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Gaston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalen Howard, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Howard posted four assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Tavier Medlin was another key player, going 6-for-15 en route to 15 points along with five boards and four steals.

West Lincoln's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaeden Steele, who put up eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Edwards, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 12 points.

North Gaston's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

North Gaston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 92-64 victory against Cherryville on the 20th. As for West Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-60 loss against Patton on the 21st.
