Basketball Recap: Judson Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Judson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Edinburg Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Judson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Delaney Arredondo out in front who posted 17 points and seven rebounds. The matchup was Arredondo's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Imani Caesar, who scored ten points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Judson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Edinburg's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arianee Salazar, who put up 12 points along with five assists and four steals. Salazar has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Makayla Olvera was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Judson's win bumped their record up to 30-6. As for Edinburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-12.

Judson has already played their next contest, a 64-48 victory against Vandegrift on the 24th. Edinburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
