It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact American Heritage can now relate to. They fell just short of the Emery Spartans by a score of 77-74 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Emery got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Scott Johansen out in front who shot 6-for-10 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards. What's more, Johansen also posted a 53% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. West Johansen was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Emery, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emery, they will square off against Morgan at 11:10 a.m. on February 24th. Morgan will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Emery surely won't give up without a fight.
