Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Lakers vs. Westview Warriors
Lakeland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Westview Warriors on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Lakers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Lakeland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.
Leading Lakeland to victory were SARAH SMART and MADISON LARIMER. SMART had ten digs and two aces, while LARIMER had eight kills, three digs, and a block.
Lakeland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 17-13.
