Football Recap: Jennings County Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brandan Mccory and Cameron Patterson

Jennings County extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. The game between the Panthers and the Jeffersonville Red Devils didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 35-21. The Panthers were down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Jennings County's loss came despite strong showings from Cameron Patterson and Brandan Mccory. Patterson rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Mccory picked up 40 receiving yards and one TD. Mccory also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending two passes.

As for Jeffersonville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their nine-point performance the contest before.

Jeffersonville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darien Williams, who rushed for 157 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Williams has become a key player for the Red Devils: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Nation Roe-mcbroom did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 157 receiving yards.

Jennings County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 50-0 defeat against Bedford North Lawrence on the 24th. As for Jeffersonville, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Center Grove at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Red Devils' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 34.9 points per game this season.
