Basketball Recap: Blair Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Blair entered their tilt with San Marino on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They really took it to the San Marino Titans for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-47 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Blair was led to victory by Timmy Anderson and Jaleel Hunter. Anderson went 13 for 17 on his way to 35 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Hunter shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Anderson's evening made it 29 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Nassir Freeman was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Blair has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for San Marino, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Blair will host South Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for San Marino, they will take on Temple City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. San Marino is facing Temple City at the right time seeing as Temple City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
