Volleyball Recap: Rock River Longhorns vs. Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers

Rock River kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14.

Lingle-Fort Laramie found their leader in sophomore Hayden Willey, who had six digs and two aces.

Lingle-Fort Laramie pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Rock River will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on HEM at 4:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Lingle-Fort Laramie, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pine Bluffs on the 29th.
