Softball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to the Clinton Dark Horses. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dark Horses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Wednesday.

Tayler Fye made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lakewood has already played their next matchup, a 7-7 draw against Lejeune on the 7th. As for Clinton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against East Duplin on the 6th.
