Softball Recap: Columbia City Victorious

Columbia City and Fort Wayne Snider pushed the score to 14-5 the last time they played Fort Wayne Snider, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Emma Hiss's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mylie Ward, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Sattison, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
