On Saturday, Pinecrest Academy Cadence had just enough and edged Pyramid Lake out 44-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pinecrest Academy Cadence.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence was led to victory by Jeremiah Combs and Gebriel Quimoyog. Combs scored 12 points, while Quimoyog scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Maurer, who scored 6 points.
Pyramid Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Takoda Rivers, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Another player making a difference was Rylen Patrick, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Pinecrest Academy Cadence back to even at 2-2. As for Pyramid Lake, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Cristo Rey St. Viator at 11:00 a.m. on December 2nd. As for Pyramid Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
