Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Takes a Loss

Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaumont Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Citrus Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-10, 25-19, 25-11.

Beaumont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Leandro Torres out in front who had nine digs and two aces.

Citrus Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Beaumont, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Citrus Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Cajon on the 20th. As for Beaumont, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Redlands East Valley on the 20th.
