Basketball Recap: Bishop Mcnamara Extends Winning Streak to 15

On Wednesday, Bishop McNamara faced St. Mary's Ryken in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bishop McNamara Mustangs blew past the St. Mary's Ryken Knights 67-47. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

St. Mary's Ryken lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sydney Thompson, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Vilte Kacerauskaite, who posted 16 points and seven boards.

The victory was the 15th in a row for Bishop McNamara, bringing their record for this year to 19-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for St. Mary's Ryken, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.
