Softball Game Preview: Redmond Panthers vs. Bend Lava Bears

Redmond is 1-9 against Bend since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Lava Bears at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Redmond faced off against Mountain View on Friday. The Panthers took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bend got the win against Corvallis on Saturday by a conclusive 15-3.

Bend is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Redmond, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1.
