Waconia's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Orono Spartans with a sharp 14-4 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

The team relied heavily on Ada Harmon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ady Dhaene, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waconia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Waconia's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Orono, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Waconia will host Benilde-St. Margaret's at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Orono, they will head out on the road to square off against DeLaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Islanders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
