Softball Recap: Orono Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Orono ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the DeLaSalle Islanders 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since April 16th.

The win made it two in a row for Orono and bumps their season record up to 8-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for DeLaSalle, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7-1.

As of now, neither Orono nor the Islanders have any future games scheduled.
