Basketball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Soquel Knights

The Westmont Warriors just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Soquel Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westmont has three straight victories, Soquel has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Westmont was fully in charge, breezing past Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit 58-31. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Soquel scored the most points they've had this season back in December of 2024, but it wasn't enough. They fell to Stevenson 46-41.

Westmont's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Soquel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Westmont against Soquel in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the team secured a 56-27 victory. Does Westmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Soquel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
