Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Quartz Hill

Quartz Hill won the last time they faced Knight and things went their way on Friday too. The Royals blew past the Hawks 13-1. The match marked the Royals' most dominant win of the season.

Chris Quintero looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Quartz Hill: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hector Anaya, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Maddox Farrell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Quartz Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knight only posted a batting average of .111.

Quartz Hill's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Knight, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
