Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Old Plank Christian Academy). They were the clear victors by a 23-5 margin over the First Coast Christian Knights on Tuesday. The Defenders have beaten the Knights the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Carly Mobley made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
