Football Game Preview: Valley View Eagles vs. Jacksboro Tigers

The Valley View Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Jacksboro Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Valley View has struggled recently with 17 defeats in a row, while Jacksboro will arrive with four straight victories.

Valley View's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Millsap on Thursday. They took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 49-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jacksboro took on Henrietta on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Bearcats, posting a 42-14 win. Considering the Tigers have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley View better keep an eye on Wyatt Gavit. He was instrumental in Jacksboro's win, throwing for 261 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 45 yards and a pair of scores. Gavit has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. Lochlan Pardue was Gavit's top target, picking up 30 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 55 yards.
