Archbishop McCarthy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Norland Vikings 3-0 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Mavericks as they're now sitting on 15 straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-6, 25-16.

Juliana Lugo paced Archbishop McCarthy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lugo got some help from Fabiana Castro and her 21 assists. Castro was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Norland, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.

Archbishop McCarthy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against TERRA Environmental on the 25th. Norland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
