Marianna is 9-1 against Taylor County since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Marianna is taking a road trip to face off against Taylor County at 7:00 p.m.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Monday. Marianna and Freeport finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Brayden Mason hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Marianna's goal came courtesy of Xavier Lujan, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Taylor County waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Seahawks get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Marianna's draw makes their record 7-1-2 this season. As for Taylor County, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4-1.

Marianna skirted past Taylor County 2-1 in their previous meeting back in November. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marianna since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
