Basketball Game Preview: University Trojans vs. Chaparral Bobcats

University hasn't had much luck against Chaparral recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The University Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Chaparral Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

University is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They took a hard 50-36 fall against Lake Belton.

Meanwhile, Chaparral unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Ellison by a score of 35-32. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Eagles are ranked 234th).

Chaparral's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 19-10. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

University was taken down by Chaparral 63-25 in their previous meeting on January 3rd. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point University was down 29-6.
