Basketball Recap: Freeman Comes Up Short

If Freeman was feeling good fresh off their 55-26 takedown of MacArthur on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Eagles had to suffer through a 57-15 loss at the hands of the Cedar Ridge Raiders. The contest marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cedar Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoe Scott out in front who went 6-for-12 on her way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Beautyfull Wright, who made all 5 shots she took for 11 points.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Cedar Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Freeman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leander at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Ridge, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Pflugerville at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
