Softball Recap: Beaverhead County Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Frenchtown, Beaverhead County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stevensville Yellowjackets, sneaking past 7-6.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Konen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Konen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Blake, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Beaverhead County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stevensville, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaverhead County will take on Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stevensville, they will square off against Butte Central Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
