Soccer Recap: Eastern Randolph Comes Up Short

Eastern Randolph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles. While losing is never fun, Eastern Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Uwharrie Charter Academy are ranked 169th).

Eastern Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16-1. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eastern Randolph will venture away from home to face off against East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Randolph's defense better be ready for this one: East Davidson have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will head out to square off against Gray Stone Day at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
