Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Swallows Charter Academy's 13th in Last 16 Outings

Swallows Charter Academy hadn't beaten Hoehne on the road since February 6, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Swallows Charter Academy Spartans walked away with a 58-51 victory over the Hoehne Farmers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-56 two weeks ago.

Swallows Charter Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mike Vazquez out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Vazquez has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Christian Garcia was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Swallows Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 25 consecutive games dating back to last season.
