Creek Wood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Harpeth with a sharp 15-3 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

Aleigha McCord and Elizabeth Martin were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, McCord pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Martin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, McCord posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At the plate, McCord got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Martin went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addison Howell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey England, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
Creek Wood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fairview unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 10-7 to Montgomery Central.
Abbie Hammon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Fox, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Creek Wood, their victory bumped their record up to 20-12.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Creek Wood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Fairview struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
