Soccer Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Takes a Loss

If Tucson High Magnet School was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Cholla last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tucson High Magnet School Badgers came up short against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers on Wednesday, falling 6-3. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Lancers are ranked third).

Tucson High Magnet School's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Salpointe Catholic, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Tucson High Magnet School is taking a road trip to take on Sunnyside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salpointe Catholic, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Prescott at 6:00 p.m. Salpointe Catholic knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Prescott likes a good challenge.
