Lake Gibson has gone 8-2 against Kathleen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lake Gibson Braves will be home for the holidays to greet the Kathleen Red Devils at 8:00 p.m.

Lake Gibson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering South Lake just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Braves have been dealt a draw since back in November.

Meanwhile, Kathleen didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Region on Saturday and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Thunder are ranked 190th).

Lake Gibson's draw makes their record 11-2-2 this season. As for Kathleen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Everything went Lake Gibson's way against Kathleen when the teams last played back in January of 2023, as Lake Gibson made off with an 8-0 win. Will Lake Gibson repeat their success, or does Kathleen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
