Baseball Recap: Sparta's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Sparta had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 17-9 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kenowa Hills Knights a 6-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Kenowa Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-8-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Kenowa Hills' part, Mason Peebles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Sparta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
