Volleyball Preview: Reagan Raiders vs. Glenn Bobcats
After both having extra time off, the Reagan Raiders and the Glenn Bobcats will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenn took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Reagan, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Reagan made easy work of R.J. Reynolds and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.
Reagan never let R.J. Reynolds on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-6, 26-24.
Reagan can attribute much of their success to Carsten Macosko, who had five kills and five digs, and Jacob Davies, who had six digs.
Reagan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Glenn had to start their season on the road last Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to Riverside-Durham.
Glenn took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-19.
