Basketball Recap: Federal Hocking Comes Up Short

Federal Hocking suffered their biggest loss since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Eastern Eagles 74-44. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-53 back in December of 2024.

Federal Hocking has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Eastern, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Federal Hocking is taking a road trip to square off against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern has already played their next game (against Trimble), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
