Softball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord's last matchup with Plymouth could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Minutemen lost 15-6 to the Pilgrims.

Cheyenne Collins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Serina Masuth, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run.

Concord has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Plymouth, their record now sits at 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Concord will head out to take on Lakeland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Minutemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Plymouth, they will head out on the road to square off against Bremen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
