Softball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Scottsdale Christian Academy dropped their record down to 7-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 27-8 to the Northwest Christian Crusaders. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bethany Ando was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

As for Northwest Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Northwest Christian's side, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Unger, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. Unger is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Angus, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Scottsdale Christian Academy will square off against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Odyssey Institute at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
