Baseball Recap: Santa Ynez Falls to Pioneer Valley in First Game of Season

Santa Ynez unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 11-3 to the Pioneer Valley Panthers on Wednesday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jaxon Glover was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Ynez will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Mission College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pioneer Valley, they will take on Mission Oak at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
